The Big Family of ANTAM UBPN Kolaka Distributes 1,200 Kilos of Sacrificial Meat
Kolaka, SK - The big family of PT Aneka Tambang (ANTAM) Nickel Mining Business Unit (UBPN) Kolaka distributed 1,200 kilograms of sacrificial meat during the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1444 H / 2023.
Business Support Senior Manager of PT ANTAM Tbk UBPN Kolaka, Ridho Anggoro said that the meat came from 23 cows and 5 sacrificial goats owned by ANTAM UBPN Kolaka employees and ANTAM's partners.
He said that the participation of ANTAM's extended family sacrifice every year also continues to increase. This shows the sensitivity and solidarity of ANTAM people to the social conditions of the surrounding community also continues to increase," said Ridho Anggoro when reviewing the slaughter of sacrificial animals at the former warehouse II, PT ANTAM Tbk UBPN Kolaka Complex, Thursday (29/6/2023).
He hopes that the sacrificial meat can help meet people's meat needs in the midst of economic pressure.
"Hopefully, this sacrificial meat can help people celebrate Eid al-Adha with joy," he added.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the sacrificial animal slaughter committee of PT ANTAM Tbk UBPN Kolaka Edi Astin explained, the process of slaughtering sacrificial animals was carried out in two locations, namely the former warehouse II and the area of Al Ikhlas Mosque, Kumoro village, PT ANTAM Tbk UBPN Kolaka complex.
"The sacrificial meat will be handed over to the community. There are 800 packages in total. Each package consists of 1.5 kilograms of beef and mutton," explained Edi Astin.
He said, before carrying out the slaughter of sacrificial animals, his party first carried out a health examination involving parties from the Kolaka Livestock Office, to ensure the condition of sacrificial animals suitable for slaughter.
Not only that, sacrificial meat that has been slaughtered will also be re-examined for meat and abdominal organs of the animal before being distributed to the community.
In addition, in the momentum of Eid al-Adha this year, ANTAM UBPN Kolaka no longer prepares plastic bags as containers to store sacrificial meat that will be handed over to the community, instead the committee prepares plastic crates that can be reused for a very long time.
This is based on instructions from the Ministry of Environment, so that each sacrificial meat package no longer uses plastic bags to minimize plastic waste.
"So this is the instruction of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry this year, we do not use plastic bags but use plastic containers that can be reused by the community, so it is not a one-time use, so that plastic waste can be reduced in volume in the community for the sake of maintaining environmental cleanliness," he explained.
